Mrs. Plant’s Big Jar Granola
Instead of buying storebought granola, you can make healthy granola at home that lasts a long time when stored in a big, airtight, glass jar. You can exchange ingredients, but just make sure the total measurements are the same.
Ingredients
- 4 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup whole cashews roughly chopped
- 1 cup raw almonds roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup pecans roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup coconut flakes optional
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon optional
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1-2 Tablespoons avocado oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine ingredients well.
- Spread granola over TWO (2) large baking trays. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Stir mixture and switch trays on oven shelves. Bake another 15 minutes. If the oats, cashews, and coconut flakes are golden brown, the granola ready to remove from the oven. Allow to cool fully.

- (Optional) Add dried fruit (like juice-sweetened dried cranberries) and nondairy, vegan dark chocolate chips to the mixture before storing in an airtight container.
