Oil-Free Basil Walnut Pesto
Equipment
- Food Processor
Ingredients
- 2 cups of fresh basil
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 T chia seeds
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- 1 T fresh lemon juice
- 1/4-1/2 t salt
- 2 T water
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Serve over pasta, as a base for pizza, or as a salad seasoning!
Notes
This pesto may seem a little salty if you use 1/2 t of salt, but once it tossed in the pasta, it will be less salty. You can start with less salt (1/4 t) and add more after you toss it. Also, adding vegan parmesan cheese will make it saltier.
